Loving Kindness
The Heart Chakra is an extremely powerful energy center and is unfortunately often neglected. Loving Kindness exudes from the Heart Chakra when it is balanced and we are able to give more love as well as receive more love. It is the home of compassion, unity, joy, peace, and generosity. Located right in the center of the chest, the Heart Chakra is considered the central powerhouse of the 7 main chakras.
Heart Chakra Imbalances
Heart chakra energy controls both the emotional heart and the physical heart, the entire circulatory system, the lungs, breasts, shoulders, arms, hands, and thymus gland. Therefore, many common ailments relating to these parts of the body can occur when this chakra is imbalanced. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the world with lung cancers and breast cancers also being very prevalent. Hypertension, Asthma, COPD, Insomnia, Chest Pain, Shoulder Pain, and Immune System Problems are also signs of a possible Heart Chakra imbalance.
Mental emotional signs of imbalance include ever having your heart broken, ever grieved a loss, being emotionally unavailable, bitterness, resentment, jealousy, clinginess, loneliness, social anxiety, and having difficulty in relationships.

Heart Chakra Affirmation
Repeat to yourself quietly or out loud: “I deeply and completely love and accept myself.” Say this with your whole heart and really feel it.
Random Acts of Kindness
One of the best ways to nourish the Heart Chakra is to do random acts of kindness for other people. It’s your choice what you do to be of service to another. It can be as simple as a smile or a compliment.
Practice Forgiving
The power and alignment of the Heart Chakra is very much linked to the act of forgiving. Reflect upon these questions then take action to tap into the healing power of forgiveness. Who do you need to forgive? Who needs to forgive you? Do you need to forgive yourself?
Green Color
The color of the Heart Chakra energy is mostly green. Green is the color of Nature so surround yourself with Nature when your Heart Chakra is in need of extra love. Wearing the color green is also great for the Heart Chakra. Eating green foods such as avocados, spinach, kale, broccoli, celery, peas, and lettuce is fantastic nourishment for the Heart Chakra.
Gemstones
Both pink gemstones and green gemstones strengthen the Heart Chakra. My favorites are gentle loving Rose Quartz and wise soothing Jade. Wear these beautiful gems and keep them in your surroundings.
